PHOTOLUMINESCENT FIRE EXIT & SAFETY SIGNS
The IBC (International Building Code) and IFC (International Fire Code) require luminous exit/egress path markings in all new and existing institutional, hotel, educational, business, public assembly and all R-1 residential buildings having occupied floors that are more than 75 feet above the lowest level of fire department vehicle access (this is generally five floor levels, or 5 stories.) Photoluminescent markings are required in exit enclosures on the steps, landings, handrails, perimeters and obstacles. Our photoluminescent signs meet or exceed standards and codes set by many organizations and municipalities, and are manufactured from low profile rigid plastic sheet substrate materials which are safe, non-toxic, and non-radioactive. Our photoluminescent signage requires no maintenance, electricity, bulbs or battery replacement. This premium material substrate meets UL 1994 Standard for Luminous Egress Path marking Systems and is acceptable to use in most building egress signage applications for code compliance and saving lives.
