Our Custom Braille Slugs, also known as Braille Patches or labels, are great for temporary signs or other uses. Each custom braille label measures 1/2" tall (.55) by1-1/2" wide, not to exceed 4 characters and spaces. Our 1-1/2" size is great for 3 to 4 digit numbers and words with limited text. Braille plaques and patches have Grade 2 braille made from clear "rasters" or acrylic spheres inserted into 1/16" thick polymer material. Many color options available. Thin clear double faced adhesive tape on backside is included for mounting. Note you may order clear patches, however the clear tape wrinkles, bubbles and imperfections will show through. Note: Often custom braille labels, slugs or patches do NOT meet ADA requirements for ADA signs, and are generally used for temporary or non-ADA purposes. ADA sign inspectors may require ADA compliant building signs to have braille on the same plane or level as the sign face and integral with the sign. Check your local governing authorities for compliance.
